Why choose a professional photographer in Seoul?
Many first-time visitors to South Korea take lots of photos (we certainly do!) and whilst camera phones are not bad these days, they will never be quite as good as a professional photography session.
Recommended Seoul photographers like Nilo have an eye for detail, bring out the best poses and have an amazing list of locations to shoot, plus top technical skills.

One of the top things to do in Seoul if you have a few days in the city, having a photographer who knows the city can take the pressure off – and it should be a lot of fun!
Everything is considered from the best angles to perfect locations, and even the time of day so that every photo looks amazing. It also makes for one of the most unique Korean souvenirs you can take home and which will last forever (unlike say HBAF)!

Types of photography sessions
Unsure as to what Seoul photography session you’d like? Whilst hanbok photography is the most popular traditional Korean theme for tourists, there are a few choices that you can make together with Nilo.
Hanbok photography at the palaces
One of the most popular experiences is a hanbok photoshoot in Seoul, held at the city’s royal palaces. Visiting at least one of the royal palaces is a must do as part of a Seoul itinerary so why not head there in hanbok with a professional photographer in tow.

Dressed in traditional Korean attire, you can explore gorgeous gardens, tranquil temples and historic architecture whilst being photographed with guidance on poses.
Nilo provides recommendations for trusted hanbok rental shops, styling advice and guidance throughout the session to ensure you feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera.

Best locations for Seoul photography sessions
For hanbok sessions, the most magical settings are usually Seoul royal palaces like Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace. The cute courtyards, ornate gates and beautiful gardens making for an incredible Seoul photography location.

Nilo also recommends bringing hanbok sessions into hanok villages like Eunpyeong, Namsangol (near Euljiro) and Ikseon-dong – all these Seoul neighborhoods have quiet streets, traditional houses and cozy cafés for a memorable experience.

More modern, casual sessions can also be done in the same locations as hanbok shoots. Alternatively, you can try a wider variety of Seoul’s most photogenic spots like Namsan Park, Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), along the peaceful paths of the Han River, Nami Island or in bustling Seoul streets and historic hidden alleys.

Best time for a photography session
Here are Nilo’s hints and tips as to when it is the best time for a Seoul photography session:
“The soft light of early morning (6-9am) or late afternoon (4-7pm) creates a gentle, flattering glow, perfect for capturing the beauty of Seoul and the magic of your moments.
To make the most of your session, try to avoid weekends as well as the busy hours between 11am and 3pm, especially at popular locations like the palaces.
Early mornings and late afternoons not only provide beautiful light but also help you avoid crowds, so you can enjoy a more relaxed and intimate experience.”
